About
About me.
Hi there! I'm Ele. I offer online and in person therapy sessions from my office in Bath, Somerset. I have lived and worked in the UK, China, the USA, Canada, and Europe. These experiences have fine-tuned my cultural sensitivity and fascination with human behaviour, giving me a unique perspective that both inspires and informs my practice.
I pride myself on being an unconventional therapist, focusing on you as a person, not a diagnosis. Unlike some outdated therapies, that pathologise symptoms, I encourage individuals to face the natural challenges and chaos of human existence, fostering self-awareness, resilience and empowering you to make authentic choices that align with your values and beliefs.
I'm currently completing my counselling and psychotherapy doctorate and am qualified for clinical practice alongside my academic and research endeavours. I'm a registered trainee member of UKCP and UPCA and fully insured. I receive regular UKCP clinical supervision under the guiding support of Dr Niklas Serning and adhere to the UKCP ethical codes of conduct and practice.
I work with adults aged 18+, both in open-ended and time-limited ways, in person or online, covering a wide range of issues. I accept clients from both the UK and overseas (online).
My specialisms include sexual identity, pleasure, pornography use, relational dynamics, sex work, connection, intimacy, sexual violence, cultural and/or religious tension, belonging, addiction, life transitions, uprootedness and expatriation, as well as bereavement, living with life-limiting illness, and personal crises, to name a few.
If it’s part of the human experience, chances are, we can work through it together.

About the work.
Through open and honest dialogue we can focus collaboratively on the unique relationship you have with life's challenges, exploring how you experience adversity and relate to purpose and meaning in everything you do (or don't do!). We will engage in a meaningful exploration of how you are with the world and the people in it. Through this process, individuals often gain a heightened sense of self-awareness and a clearer understanding of their own existence, fostering personal growth and a more authentic way of living.
Sessions run for 50 minutes and are charged at a rate of £50 for individuals and £70 for couples (unless . They are held either online or in person from my office in Bath, Somerset. Bi-weekly sessions are only considered on a case by case basis and are subject to an increased rate.
We will first meet for an initial consultation charged at the same rate. This is to decide on how or if we work together and a copy of the therapy contract will also be provided.
I take notes after our sessions and retain essential information for our time working together. This work is bound by strict confidentiality and you can be rest assured I will not disclose any of your private information to anyone unless your notes are summoned for legal purposes.
